Our Story
Byron Plant Based was founded by Al Percival, who has a passion for food and a belief that the foods we eat make a huge difference to the world around us. There's incredibly strong evidence to show that plant-based foods are better for us and for the planet. In fact, Al believes that if we are to feed our growing population, we have to make a much larger switch to more sustainable farming practices.

The company was founded in 2017 by Al after a long and successful career in the IT industry where he was Managing Director for a multi-billion dollar corporation. The original products were created in his home kitchen before opening a small unit in Byron Bay in the Northern Rivers region of NSW. Al is still very much hands on in the business and is responsible for all our product development.
